Version Information
Version 1.0 - This design was a very simple one that incorporated a wave motif. The start of many Blue/Grey designs to come.
Version 2.0 - I wanted to make an interface-type website where all the information is contained in a small area. This layout was made using Photoshop and sliced up and put into tables. I believe I also might have used an iFrame as well. You will notice the word 'Swag' there because typing 'Downloads' would have been too big.
Version 2.1 - This is the silver version of 2.0. I created a PNG with an image map to the contact page because I couldn't fit it in on the layout. I think I liked the gray background better than the blue because it looked cleaner.
Version 2.2 - This was my Tour de France version of my website. It used the colours of the Silence-Lotto bicycle team which Cadel Evans was riding for. It was a way to show my support to the Australians at the Tour. I also had a scrolling marquee with the riders information on it. Notice that I put a photo of Cadel where my logo was. Pretty clever!
Version 3.0 - This was once my best designs. A simple header and footer with content in the middle. I also purposely divided the colours so that blue was on the left and grey was on the right. I learned a few more things about Photoshop such as Layer Masks to give me some of the effects. It is a very clean design and I just love the blue in the header.
Version 4.0 - This is my attempt at a tribal design. It took a week to finish. I had been designing for the first three days when the design wasn't working the way I had hoped so I started from scratch. This design also allows me to change colours easier as well because everything is sectioned off perfectly.
Version 5.0 - This version was rebuilt from the ground up. There are three templates for the entire site and they each have different purposes. As with all site designs that I have done, there are limitations to the techniques that I use. I guess that's why I update the design so often. The idea behind the design of this version is to feel like being under water. I also wanted to try out transparent rounded corners.
Version 5.1 - The idea behind this theme was to fix a couple of bugs and also to freshen up the graphics. Due to the amount of work that I put in on 5.0, I didn't want to start a new layout.
Version 5.2 - This is the final template for PBD. I tried to have a bit of fun with this design even though getting everything to line up in multiple browsers was a pain in the neck. The idea I had in mind was to merge the best features of the five versions into one template but because it wouldn't look right, I just chose a couple of features.
